March Madness

The NCAA tournament has been just that, madness, as teams from all over the nation battle for the title. The Sweet Sixteen has been rounded out, but not without more than the NCAA's fair share of upsets.





Villanova vs. St. Mary's (68-75)

Villanova road to the championship has been cut short by St. Mary's. In the beginning of the game many spectators noted that the Villanova players seemed a bit disinterested in the game. Well, it sounds like that was their downfall. St. Mary's triumph over Nova is one of the major upsets of the NCAA tournament thus far.





Kansas vs. UNI (67-69)

This game is the biggest upset of the the 2010 NCAA tournament. Kansas was a favorite for the final four and even President Obama favored them to take the title. The University of Northern Iowa won despite all the hype given to the top-ranked Kansas team.




Cornell vs. Temple (78-65)







When the #5 Temple Owls took on the #12 Cornell Big Red, Cornell wasn't seen as much of a threat, but they are a force to be reckoned with. Many are calling the Big Red the best team to come out of the Ivy League in years. Others call in the Cinderella story of the NCAA 2010 tournament. This rivalry caused pretty heated debate amongst Scholarich affiliates. CEO Moose graduated from Temple while artist Fresh and Stephanie of the advisory board attended Cornell. There was a great deal of trash talking amongst the three of them. Ultimately, Fresh and Stephanie came out on top as their alma mater continued in the tournament and upset Wisconsin (87-69). Better luck next time, Moose!
